Valk Continental II 20.00 ALU-IPS - Stabilizers

This stunning Valk Continental II 20.00 ALU-IPS – Stabilizers is offered for sale by her second owner and comes with a remarkable history. The first owner had a background in mechanical engineering and extensive knowledge of steel, aluminium and metalworking. Drawing on this expertise, he was closely involved throughout the yacht’s construction. Together with Van der Valk, the yacht was developed down to the finest detail, with the owner visiting the shipyard approximately forty times to implement various technical modifications and improvements. The first owner deliberately postponed construction until the yacht could be equipped with the then-new Volvo Penta D13-1050 IPS engines. Whereas earlier versions were built with four engines, this yacht could be fitted with just two powerful engines, creating additional space for, among other things, two 16 kVA generators. In the spring of 2013, the yacht was launched in Waalwijk. Until 2024, she cruised mainly in Northern Europe, after which she moved to Southern Europe. This Valk Continental 2000 II ALU-IPS Fast Going is exceptionally well equipped and stands out, among other features, for her impressive electrically operated roof above the wheelhouse and saloon. The saloon and wheelhouse flow seamlessly on one level onto the aft deck, where four stainless-steel hinged doors create an exceptionally spacious and open connection between the interior and exterior. A practical sliding insect screen is also fitted here. Her extensive equipment list includes, among many other features, air conditioning throughout, a sun deck on the foredeck, central vacuum system, oval stainless-steel railings, Dynamic Positioning, Naiad stabilizers, cockpit heaters, a folding mast, three IPS control stations, Dockmate remote control, a fully custom-built tool and spare-parts cabinet, en-suite bathrooms, and numerous other options and amenities. Both owners have maintained the yacht with great care, and considerable investment has been made in recent years to modernise and technically upgrade the yacht. She is equipped with a Victron lithium service battery bank, isolation transformers, a Victron inverter/charger system, Dockmate wireless remote control and recently installed AIS. In addition, the stabilization system has been upgraded with Humphree Active Ride, while the saloon upholstery was renewed in 2023. From a technical perspective, the yacht has also been kept to a high standard. In 2026, the Miele dishwasher was replaced, the antifouling and anodes were renewed, PropSpeed was applied, and the most recent service on the engines and IPS drives was carried out in May. The Miele tumble dryer was replaced in 2024. Periodic maintenance has been performed in accordance with the prescribed maintenance schedules and is extensively documented with invoices and service reports. In short, this is an exceptionally complete and technically sophisticated Valk Continental II 20.00, in which both owners have invested considerably. The watermaker is not included in the sale.
