Beautiful classic De Ruiter 12.50 Open Cockpit Cruiser, offered by an owner who has cared for and maintained the yacht with great dedication. This De Ruiter Cruiser was built in 1979 in Hoogeveen by the renowned De Ruiter shipyard. The yacht is powered by a reliable 6-cylinder Ford diesel engine producing 110 HP. In 2006, the engine was professionally overhauled and has since been serviced annually by a qualified marine engineer. The level connection between the saloon and the open cockpit provides a low air draft of approximately 2.45 metres, allowing access to an extensive cruising area, including many inland waterways and canals. Over the years, substantial investments have been made to keep the yacht in excellent condition. A new hot water boiler was installed in 2018. In 2019, the hull was completely repainted using a high-quality two-component paint system. In 2020, the superstructure was also repainted in a two-component paint system, while all exterior woodwork, including the cockpit woodwork, was professionally varnished. During the same year, a new cockpit canopy with a stainless steel frame, fitted with mosquito screens and a sunshade, was installed. In 2021, the interior received new carpeting, and in 2022 a new winter cover was added. The yacht's gas installation is professionally inspected and certified every three years. The underwater hull and deck have also received extensive attention. In 2006, the hull, including the cockpit, was grit blasted and completely refinished with a professional two-component coating system. In 2024, the teak deck on the coach roof was fully re-caulked: all old caulking was carefully removed, new caulking was applied, and the entire deck was sanded. The teak planks are approximately 18 mm thick, and any worn planks have been replaced where necessary. The teak deck has always been carefully maintained and cleaned using traditional soda and green soap. In addition, in 2020 all caulking joints between the teak side decks and the steel deck were completely renewed.
