For sale for new adventures; a yacht that has proven itself.
Actions not words, suits the yacht well.
The Volker Explorer 64 is designed and built for and by one of the leaders of the Dutch maritime industry and has remained in the family for 35 years. This yacht has made beautiful adventures where most people only dream of.
MY "Blue," formerly named "Nepos," was built as an ocean-going vessel in yacht format. She has waterproof compartments, self-aligning up to 135 degrees, over 10,000 gallons of diesel fuel and 3,000 gallons of drinking water, and a (real) range of 3,500 nautical miles at 8 knots (with 25% safety reserve), which allows easy crossing of the Atlantic (and Pacific) oceans.
The almost limitless collective nautical experience of the designer(s), owners and builders has been combined in this yacht.
The yacht was built by Shipyard De Lek, based on a design by A. Volker, refined and detailed by/for D.L.H. (Dick) Smit and had her launch in May 1978. After 35 years in the family and countless adventures as a memory, she was purchased by her current owner in 2013. He had a refit performed to increase the (living) comfort and decrease the maintenance vulnerability of the yacht.
Do not hesitate to contact our brokers to learn more about her history, travels and special features.
For questions and/or to make an appointment on this special yacht, you are welcome 7 days a week at Elburg Yachting.
