The Colin Archer 23.00 Alu Custom Built 'The Old Man' is a striking aluminum custom built keel keel superyacht. This sailing yacht was built by Habbeké to a design by Dijkstra, John Jansen and Wim Stolk. A unique yacht, a true work of art, this is the best way to describe this sailing yacht. An interior designed by iconic British designer John Munford, who has created designs for the J-Classers Endeavor, Shamrock and Velsheda, among others.
The yacht has a very spacious accommodation for her dimensions and also has a master suite and two double cabins. 'The Old Man' is designed for longer stays on board and extended cruises, both to warm places and to cold coasts.
The Colin Archer 23.00 Alu Custom Build 'The Old Man' is built with high-quality aluminum with a hydraulically retractable centerboard. Her hull shape is the result of extensive testing in the hydrodynamic laboratory (MARIN) of the Technical University in Delft, resulting in a balanced and easy-to-operate sailing yacht that performs very well under a wide range of extreme weather conditions. The materials used are of high quality and the technical installations are amply oversized, making it not only a very stiff and robust yacht, but also durable and failproof.
The draft with keel keel up is about 1.80 m, with keel sword down about 3.30 m, the height of the mast is about 30 m above the waterline, the hull is classified ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) during construction. CVO certification is available. Dorades on the deck for good natural ventilation, headroom in owner's cabin appr. 1.90 m, headroom in guest cabins appr. 2.00 m. Well-maintained engine room with good accessibility because most of the technology has been installed in the stern. The engine room is accessible via the large open cockpit or a watertight door in the interior. The wheelhouse receives a lot of daylight through the large windows. The windows are double glazed and can be partially opened. Spacious saloon in contact with galley, TV in saloon, air conditioning, washing machine/dryer.
The Colin Archer 23.00 Alu Custom Built 'The Old Man' is equipped with sloop rigging, Rondal rigging, an aluminum Rondal mast, double spreaders, cutterstay and Check stays, Rodkicker present, Reckman hydraulic roller for genoa, Reckman hydraulic roller for cutterstay, 2 x Rondal hydraulic backstay tensioner, Lewmar Hydraulic mainsheet winches, Lewmar Hydraulic primary winches, Lewmar Hydraulic secondary winches, Lewmar halyard winches, Lewmar spinnaker winches, Rondal Spi Boom, Furling mainsail approx. 95 m2, Furling genoa 1 - appr. 95 m2, Furling genoa 3 - appr. 66 m2, storm jib and storm sail. All sails can be operated hydraulically; simple and safe operation by one or two persons under all circumstances. All hydraulic systems have an emergency and manual backup, UV slab renewed in 2017/2018, entire sailing inventory fully checked in 2017/2018, Sailor RE2100 Raytheon Ray 410 Megaphone, AIS, appr. 11 knots max speed, Cruising speed appr. 9.5 knots.
